VFW POST 2995
provides a vast array of support services to our active duty
and formerly active duty veterans and their families, and our
community.
Our Post Surgeon assists
veterans with VA claims and provides care and comfort to veterans in VA
Hospitals around the region.
Our Post Service
Officer coordinates direct material support to our needy veterans in
the community.
Our Post Troop Support group sends "care packages" to
our front line troops in combat zones around the world weekly (over
6,000 packs so far)
Our Honor Guard and Rifle Team provides
regular Memorial Services for our deceased Veterans at
Tahoma National Cemetery and other Memorial venues on
request, as well as Parades, Civic Ceremonies, Mariners and
Seahawks games, etc. (They are much in
demand and one of the best in the region.)
Our Post Chaplin provides spiritual
guidance and morale to our members and is our point of
confidential contact for Post members, other veterans and their
families in our community in distress or
conflict.
Additionally, Post 2995 provides educational scholorship
funds for veterans and their familes, directly supports numerous worthy
veteran charities in the community, provides US Flag
retirement services, civic curriculum and student
development support in our schools, and maintains an active
Canteen hosting dinners and socials for members and the community at
large. Our large meeting hall provides affordable event venues for
private parties, meetings and receptions and other social community
activities.
VFW Post 2995 facilities also serve
as a welcome base for other veteran-service organizations
such as: Puget Sound Marine Corps
League, Bellevue and
Redmond American Legion Posts 99 and 161 Civil Air Patrol Cadets Submariners, AA, and
others. Our relationship with these organizations extends our
reach and leverages our resources, allowing efficient coordination of
our missions to provide an extensive range of support and services to
our veterans and our community.
VFW Post 2995 is a Federally Recognized 501(c)19
Charitable Organization All of our veteran services are provided by
volunteers and funded soley through tax-deductable donations
and community fund raising.
